Stay Safe Kagay-anons!

CDO experienced a heavy downpour yesterday. Almost all of the areas were flooded and a lot of people were stranded in schools and at the malls. There was no electricity and almost everyone got panicked as the experience was somehow similar to Typhoon Sendong.

Last night, I braved the flooded area along Kauswagan highway to fetch my mother who was at Polymedic Medical Plaza. She had her stroke therapy session there and was finished at around 4:00PM. I knew she was safe at the hospital so I was not in a panicked mode. But she kept on calling as she was already hungry and there was no food available in the canteen. At 7:30 PM my husband and I went to the hospital and was surprised to see that the flood waters was already high. But still we went on but stopped by at Petron NHA to wait for the water to subside (at least a little bit).

To make the long story short, we arrived at the hospital and was able to fetch my mother. Going back home was not an easy journey as our car’s engine stopped at the flooded area near NHA Kauswagan. However, we were very thankful that our car made it through the flooded waters and we went home safe.

I was also checking posts on Facebook and I saw my cousin’s house was flooded. Water went inside their house and all their household equipment (tables, chairs, beds, speaker stands, clothes, furniture and etc.) were all damaged. I was a bit sad, but still thankful to God that they were all safe.

There’s a forecast that it will still rain tonight but we are praying that a heavy downpour will not happen again.

To all my fellow Kagay-anons, lets’s all pray for the safety of our beloved city. Stay safe!
